    北京驱动文化传媒有限公司以“驱动文明，传播感动”为核心价值理念，致力于剧院运营与品牌节目提供。自1990年代初期，在没有任何先例可循的情况下以市场化的方式成功运营了北京音乐厅、北京中山公园音乐堂、南京文化艺术中心大剧院、天津音乐厅、徐州音乐厅、天津大剧院和哈尔滨大剧院，成为改革开放后中国剧院运营管理领域的探索者及创始人。

驱动文化传媒有限公司在北京首创“打开音乐之门”系列普及音乐会和暑期音乐节，二十年多年来，使数十万青少年和家庭进入高雅艺术殿堂；委约创作《中国唐宋名篇音乐朗诵会》，推出“聆听经典”、“宋人弦歌”、“读者的挚爱”系列音乐朗诵会”，领朗诵艺术火热之先；先后创办“林兆华戏剧邀请展”“天津曹禺国际戏剧节”“天津国际歌剧舞剧节”“哈尔滨大剧院艺术节”等；历史性引进众多国际一线剧院和一流作品，如俄罗斯马林斯基剧院和斯坦尼剧院两个版本的史诗歌剧《战争与和平》，圣彼得堡小剧院的八小时话剧《兄弟姐妹》，圣彼得堡马斯特卡雅剧院的八小时史诗话剧《静静的顿河》，法国巴黎北方剧院的《情人的衣服》、《惊奇的山谷》，德国邵宾纳剧院的《朱莉小姐》、《理查三世》、《俄狄浦斯》，波兰华沙新剧团的《阿波隆尼亚》，法国阿维尼翁戏剧节十二小时话剧《2666》、《美杜莎之筏》；与彼得·布鲁克、克里斯蒂安·陆帕、列夫·朵金、罗密欧·卡斯特鲁奇、托马斯·奥斯特玛雅、格日什托夫·瓦里科夫斯基、朱利安·葛瑟兰、托马斯·乔利等众多当今世界顶级艺术大师进行了卓有成效的合作。其引进的外国戏剧作品使得中国戏剧界出现了第三次西潮东渐，令中国观众打开眼界，一睹世界戏剧的最高水准。

驱动文化传媒近年更致力于舞台艺术的内容打造，邀请林兆华导演创作了话剧《海淀之北》及2015年国家艺术基金资助项目歌剧《永乐》；与上海戏剧学院合作邀请格热戈日·亚热那导演话剧《铸剑》，并获得2016年北京文化艺术基金支持；邀请克里斯蒂安·陆帕导演话剧《酗酒者莫非》，作为国家艺术基金2016年资助项目，该剧应邀参加上海国际艺术节、广州艺术节、北京老舍戏剧节，并一举获得第七届国际戏剧“学院奖”三项大奖以及第二届华语戏剧盛典“最佳男主角”奖。

2021年，为纪念鲁迅先生诞辰一百四十周年暨哈尔滨大剧院开幕五周年，驱动文化传媒特别呈现中国故事三部曲之二——话剧《狂人日记》。该剧邀请克里斯蒂安·陆帕担任编剧及导演。这部改编自鲁迅先生同名小说的话剧，受邀参加首届阿那亚戏剧节并作为开幕大戏圆满完成世界首演。目前该剧已在哈尔滨、上海、苏州、长沙等多地巡演，受到业界诸多学者的广泛好评。

Since the early 1990s, Propel Performing Arts & Media has successfully operated Beijing Concert Hall, Forbidden City Concert Hall, Nanjing Cultural andArtCenter, Tianjin Concert Hall, Xuzhou Concert Hall, Tianjin Grand Theatre and Harbin Grand Theatre.

Propel Performing Arts & Media founded the Gateway to Music series inBeijing. For more than two decades, our company has brought hundreds of thousands of young people and families into the halls of high art and popularized concerts and summer festivals all overChina. The company has produced “Dramatization From Tang/Song Dynasty”, “Listening to Classics of Literature”, “Concert on Poems from the Song Dynasty”, and “The Reader's Favors-Recitation of Famous Poetry and Prosee”. Propel Performing Arts & Media has successively established Lin Zhaohua Theatre Arts Festival, Tianjin Cao Yu International Theatre Festival, Tianjin International Opera and Dance Theatre Festival, Harbin Grand Theatre Arts Festival, etc. Our company introduced many international theatres and productions, including the two versions of the epic opera “War and Peace” by Mariinsky Theatre and Moscow State Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre; “Brothers and Sisters”, an eight-hour play by The Maly Drama Theatre - Theatre of Europe; St. Petersburg Masterskaya Theater’s historical drama “And Quiet Flows the Don”; “The Suit” and “The Valley of Astonishment” by Theatre des Bouffes du Nord; “Miss Julie”, “Richard III”, “Oedipus the Tyrant” by Schaubühne Berlin; “(A)pollonia” by Nowy Teatr, Warszawa; as well as “2666” and “The Raft of the Medusa” from Festival d'Avignon, etc. Propel Performing Arts & Media had collaborations with many of the world's top artists, including Peter Brook, Krystian Lupa, Lev Dodin, Romeo Castellucci, Thomas Ostermeier, Krzysztof Warlikowski, Julien Gosselin and Thomas Jolly. By inviting the finest foreign theater productions intoChina, Propel Performing Arts & Media has broadened the horizons of Chinese audiences and introduced to them the highest standards of contemporary theater.

Furthermore, Propel Performing Arts & Media has developed original Chinese theatre productions. Our works include “In the North of Haidian” and “Yong Le” by Lin Zhaohua,（Projects funded by the National Art Fund in 2015） “Two Swords” by Grzegorz Jarzyna (Funded by Beijing Culture and Art Fund in 2016), and “Mo Fei” (a funded project of the National Art Fund in 2016) by Krystian Lupa. Propel Performing Arts & Media has also participated in the theater festivals such as China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Guangzhou Art Festival and LAOSHE International Theatre Festival. Our production, “Mo Fei”, has won numerous accolades (“Best Theatre”, “Best Actor”, and “Best Supporting Actress” at the 7th International Theatre Academy Awards in 2017 and "Best Actor” at the 2nd Chinese Theatre Awards in 2018).

In 2021, to commemorate the 140th anniversary of Lu Xun's birth and the 5th anniversary of the opening of the Harbin Grand Theater, Propel Performing Arts & Media Co., Ltd. has particularly presented the second selection from the Chinese Story Trilogy---the drama A Madman's Diary. This play has invited Krystian Lupa as the playwright and director. Besides, it adapts from the novel with the same name written by Lu Xun, and the world premiere of this play was invited to the first Aranya Theater Festival as the opening performance, which has gained extraordinary success. So far, the play A Madman's Diary has toured in Harbin, Shanghai, Suzhou, Changsha, and many other places in China, which many academics of the art field have highly valued.
